Top 4 Tricks for Creating Social Media Posts That Get Likes and Shares!

Top 4 Tricks for Creating Social Media Posts That Get Likes and Shares!

So, we all know that you have to create posts.  But what the heck do you post?

Trick #1

The first thing you need to do is really drill down and identify your ideal customer.  How old are they?  Are they male or female?  Where do they live?  Where do they shop?  Do they have kids?  Are they married?  GET SPECIFIC!  This information will allow you to create posts that your ideal client will be interested in.

Trick #2

Pretty Pictures.  People like to look at pretty pictures.  They need to grab scrollers attention so that they stop the scroll for a minute.  You can use stock pictures and just add some creative copy.  I love Unsplash for pretty pictures.  They have a good selection  and are easily searchable. You also can create gorgeous images using a free program that I also love called Canva.

Trick #3

Educate.  Teach your followers something that will ease their pain point.  For example, if you are a professional organizer then you may create a post that will teach them how to organize a specific room of the house or area.

Trick #4

Entertain.  People love to laugh.  I often post a funny meme that I create or reshare that is somewhat related to the topic.  For example, many of my clients are parents so I am usually safe posting something that pokes fun about parenting.  Or I may even post a pic from my daily life.  I have 5 kids so something funny is always happening here at Casa de Owens.  Pinterest is a great place for funny memes and to get some ideas and then you can hop on over to Canva and create your own.

OMG also provides graphic design and posting services if you just don't have the time or would prefer to outsource.  Call us or email for a free consult!
